Perfectly Imperfect Pups: Where Every Dog Deserves a Second Chance
Perfectly Imperfect Pups: Where Every Dog Deserves a Second Chance
In 2020, I founded Perfectly Imperfect Pups with one mission: to give dogs with medical challenges or dogs that have special needs the second chance they deserve. We’ve rescued and rehomed hundreds of dogs who might have otherwise been overlooked.
At PIPs, we believe every dog is perfectly imperfect—and that’s what makes them extraordinary.
What We Do
At Perfectly Imperfect Pups, our mission is to rescue and rehabilitate dogs with medical or behavioral challenges, giving them the second chance they deserve. We partner with shelters, clinics, and vendors to ensure each dog receives the care they need, and we work tirelessly to match them with loving foster homes and adopters. Beyond rescue, we host community events and fundraisers to support our mission and spread awareness about the importance of adoption and fostering. From belly rubs to bandages, we do it all—and we wouldn’t have it any other way!

Every dog we rescue has a story, and every success reminds us why we do what we do. Here are just a couple of the amazing transformations that inspire us every day
When Mickey came to us with a severely broken spine, his future looked uncertain. With careful coordination, I helped arrange his life-changing surgery and ensured he received the care and support he needed every step of the way. Today, Mickey is thriving in an amazing forever home, living proof that with dedication, compassion, and a little teamwork, second chances can truly change everything.
When I learned that Cecile, a young pup with both vision and hearing impairments, was stuck in a very rural high-kill shelter, I knew I had to act fast. I jumped into action to bring her into the safety of our rescue, ensuring she had the chance she deserved. Now, Cecile’s zest for life is nothing short of inspiring. She loves exploring her surroundings, embracing new adventures, and showing the world that resilience and joy know no bounds. Her story is a reminder of what’s possible when you step up to make a difference.
"Real Dog Talk" is a podcast I created to entertain, educate, and connect the community while supporting PIPs’ mission. From serious topics to training tips and playful stories, each episode dives into all things dog.
I bring in guests—adopters, trainers, vets, and rescue advocates—to share insights and experiences, blending education with fun. Whether it’s tackling tough subjects or sharing heartwarming tales, Real Dog Talk builds awareness and fosters connection. It’s a place to learn, laugh, and celebrate the stories behind every wagging tail.
The "Never Pee Alone" campaign was my brainchild from start to finish—a campaign designed to turn an everyday moment into an opportunity to inspire action. The cheeky tagline plays on the universal experience of having a loyal dog (or cat!) follow you everywhere—even into the bathroom. From the initial spark of an idea to designing the posters and coordinating their placement, I brought this vision to life.
The goal? To use humor and creativity to spark conversations about adoption and fostering in a setting where people least expect it—but can’t ignore it! It’s proof that sometimes, thinking outside the box (or bathroom) can create real impact.
At PIPs, collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. I know I can’t do this alone, and the success of our mission relies on the incredible team behind it. From growing our board of directors to expanding our network of dedicated volunteers and fosters, it’s all about building a strong, supportive community.
I’ve also prioritized partnering with other rescues to share resources, ideas, and efforts—because when we work together, we can save more lives and make an even bigger impact. Whether it’s brainstorming strategies, coordinating rescues, or celebrating wins, teamwork is what makes it all possible.
Together, we’re proving that collaboration isn’t just powerful—it’s essential.
